Role and Responsibilities:

As a Kitchen Manager at Wendy's, you will be responsible for ensuring we are upholding our commitment to quality. In this role, you directly impact the ability of the restaurant to deliver excellent food quality and service while leading and developing your team. You will manage shift operations, train and supervise crew members, promote food safety procedures, and create a positive work environment where your team can thrive. Your leadership will be essential in delivering exceptional customer experiences during every shift. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure compliance in service, production, quality, and food safety standards.
• Deliver high-quality core menu items and limited time menu options.
• Train, monitor and reinforce food safety procedures to crew members.
• Act as Cash Manager as needed, including setting up cash registers at open, reconciling throughout shift, and verifying at close.
• Lead problem solving, customer service and decision making during your shift.
• Teach and grow your team through coaching and development.
• Promote proper procedures and a culture of food safety throughout the restaurant.
• Supervise kitchen operations to ensure food is prepared according to Wendy's standards.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality consistency.
• Manage shift operations by assigning employees to positions and distributing breaks appropriately.
• Motivate and empower employees to complete shift goals.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management on ordering needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Follow brand standards and guidelines to prepare great food, serve customers and maintain a clean restaurant.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use restaurant equipment such as a headset, register or grill.

• Secure reliable transportation to travel to your home store and other locations occasionally for training and other tasks.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in kitchen management or supervisory role in food service.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with inventory management and cost control.
