Job Duties and Responsibilities of Kitchen Porter:
- Act as an ambassador for the Dairy Queen brand, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Greet and welcome fans enthusiastically, ensuring a positive customer experience from the moment they enter.
- Deliver exceptional fan-first service through timely and high-quality service.
- Prepare food products quickly and accurately, following all restaurant, health, and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain restaurant equipment such as grills, fryers, freezers, and other cooking tools safely and efficiently.
- Complete preparation tasks, ensuring the grill area is stocked and set up for service.
- Address customer concerns calmly and embrace Dairy Queen's service recovery standards to resolve issues effectively.
- Collaborate with management and team members to maintain a positive, cooperative work environment.
- Ensure the restaurant environment is safe, clean, and inviting for both customers and team members.
- Exhibit a genuine passion for excellence in every aspect of the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.
Qualifications and Experience of Kitchen Porter:
- Ability to communicate positively with customers and team members at all times during shifts.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Comfortable standing for the duration of the shift and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to handle raw, frozen, and cooked food products, ensuring compliance with temperature safety standards (41-140°F).
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and local health regulations.
- Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, and punctuality.
- Maintain a fun and positive attitude throughout the shift, contributing to a supportive team atmosphere.
