Role and Responsibilities:

As a Line Cook at Yard House, you are the Heart of Our House preparing and plating high-quality dishes quickly and consistently while following food-safety and sanitation standards. You will work closely with the culinary team to keep service flowing and guests happy.

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Yard House recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices at all times.
• Execute menu prep and station setup for service periods; restock and rotate ingredients as needed.
• Work efficiently under pressure to deliver timely, consistent orders during peak service.
• Communicate clearly with cooks, servers, and managers to coordinate timing and special requests.
• Keep production areas, equipment, and utensils clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Follow opening, closing, and shift-change procedures; help train and support teammates as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous kitchen or line-cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, portion control, and food prep.

• Comfort working in a high-energy environment and standing for long periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary school training or formal culinary certifications.
• Experience with high-volume, scratch-kitchen operations.
• Familiarity with working multiple stations (grill, sauté, fry, garde-manger, etc.).
• Ability to mentor newer cooks and help maintain consistent station performance.

Compensation and Benefits:
