Hospitality Manager

Job Summary of Hospitality Manager:

As a SONIC Drive-In Hospitality Manager, you are indeed a generalleading your troops in a never-ending campaign to give America an infinitely more delicious food service experience. You will be involved in training and supporting drive-in restaurant employees, ensuring that food is delivered in a clean, safe and efficient manner and our customers have an excellent experience.

Responsibilities of Hospitality Manager:

• Manages, mentors, trains, and coaches team members, carhops, and skating carhops
• Manages and delegates roles to drive-in restaurant personnel as needed to uphold operational standards in food service management
• Monitors and checks that drive-in employees adhere to and comply with the rules, policies, and practices outlined in the employee handbook
• Undertakes the essential responsibilities for both commencing and ending procedures at a dining venue
• Organizes employee shifts and adjusts staffing levels according to restaurant needs
• Monitors and keeps up with restaurant inventory levels to ensure they meet operational needs
• Oversees the completion and management of drive-in restaurant employment records and payroll documentation
• Establishes a culture where the customer is at the center of all operations and guarantees that every employee is dedicated to serving them diligently.
• Speedily and respectfully solves guest requests.
• Assists the supervisor in handling and addressing guest complaints to ensure their concerns are resolved satisfactorily
• Oversee the hiring process for restaurant crew and management team members to ensure proper staffing levels are met
• Generate operational reports to assess performance. Create action plans aimed at resolving unfavorable financial or sales trends
• Draft and implement an effective marketing campaign to raise awareness and generate interest in a product or service

Requirements of Hospitality Manager:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields are preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), experience running shifts without supervision
• Required to work a minimum 5 day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4 day workweek guaranteed) including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
• Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic accounting and computer skills
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems
• Problem solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
  Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC
