New managers go through an extensive 10-12 week training course combining classroom instruction with hands-on learning in actual restaurants where manager trainees learn the basics of restaurant management, becoming familiar with all aspects of the business.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Restaurant Manager, you will assist the General Manager in managing the operations and staff of a Wendy's Restaurant, including the execution of all company policies, procedures, programs and systems. You will direct the overall operation of the restaurant, from hiring and overseeing a team of employees that deliver exceptional guest service to managing the financial performance of the store. This is a FULL TIME POSITION. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the General Manager in managing the daily operations and staff of a Wendy's restaurant.
  • Direct the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Hire, train, and oversee a team of employees that deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Execute all company policies, procedures, programs and systems.
  • Drive sales and profitability through effective execution of the Company's business plan.
  • Manage the financial performance of the store, including controlling costs and meeting profit objectives.
  • Create a positive working environment by fostering teamwork among Team Members through effective training, communication and relationship building.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner when dealing with customers, Team Members, and corporate management.
  • Act as a role model for other Team Members by adhering to all state and Federal labor and health laws and upholding the policies and standards of performance and conduct set by the Company and the Wendy's brand.
  • Work with integrity, honesty and accountability in all situations.
  • Manage shift operations including assigning employees to positions, distributing breaks, and motivating employees to complete shift goals.
  • Oversee food safety management and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate employee training and development.
  • Complete administrative duties including payroll, ordering product, cash management, and other paperwork.
  • Write weekly employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor restaurant performance including speed of service, food quality, cleanliness, and overall efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in fast food or quick service industry preferred, not required.
  • Experienced managers preferred, but not required.
  • Special consideration given to candidates with prior Wendy's experience.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
