Job Description:

We are in search of an outgoing individual to join our team as a Sandwich Artist. The Sandwich Artist is a pivotal role that encompasses interactions with customers, food preparation, upkeep of food safety standards, and minor administrative duties. Central to this position is providing top-notch customer service and presenting a positive image of the brand to guests.

Prerequisites:

• Education: Enrolled in a curriculum that closely resembles traditional high school education.
• Experience and Expertise: While previous experience is not a prerequisite, candidates should demonstrate aptitude in understanding written and verbal instructions.
• Applicants should be capable of handling various restaurant duties as required, along with operating a computerized Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register.
• Ability to remain active throughout the workday, including standing, bending, and walking.
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Display a pleasant and accommodating attitude towards patrons as they arrive and place their orders.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of menu items and accurately describe them during customer interactions.
• Operate a POS system or cash register to log transactions and determine total prices; collect payments and return accurate change.
• Maintain records for tracking cash handling and related accounting processes.
• Ensure food items are neatly presented, prepared according to standard procedures, and delivered promptly.
• Assess and restock product inventory at the sandwich unit station as needed throughout the day.
• Follow food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols throughout preparation, service, and cleanup activities.
• Implement and uphold the three-step cleaning process to maintain restaurant cleanliness.
• Comply with quality benchmarks, recipes, and operational methods outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards as specified in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Perform minor clerical duties as necessary.
• Complete educational programs provided by SUBWAY University in compliance with specified guidelines.
