As a Server at Dave & Buster's, your main objective is to deliver an outstanding experience to every guest by expertly combining great food, unique beverages, and exciting games in a celebratory atmosphere. You are essential in creating a fun, welcoming environment for both patrons and fellow team members. This role involves precise order taking, meticulous handling of payments, detailed menu knowledge, and proactive guest service to ensure satisfaction from arrival through departure. The Server is a key player in the venue's operation, maintaining efficiency, cleanliness, and promoting all the fun the brand offers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven capability to efficiently use the Micros Point of Sale system, process modifications, accurately manage all credit card transactions, and reconcile personal cash bank at the conclusion of each work period.
  • Proficiency in reading and verbal communication in the English language.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with Guests and generate excitement about the D&B environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Guests receive an exceptional experience through the optimal blend of food, drinks, and entertainment in a prime setting for total enjoyment.
  • Promptly and thoroughly update the direct supervisor regarding any significant concerns or unusual matters that arise.
  • Implement immediate corrective actions when necessary or propose suitable alternative resolutions.
  • Cultivate a friendly, lively ambiance for all Guests and Team Members.
  • Strictly comply with all company sanitation and hygiene standards.
  • Be accountable for managing personal cash flow, confirming the precision of all financial transactions by correctly operating credit card equipment, calculating and providing accurate change, and maintaining appropriate change funds.
  • Adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines to prevent Guest intoxication and handle intoxicated Guests according to procedure.
  • Monitor Guests' conduct and recognize situations that necessitate escalation to a Manager.
  • Welcome newly seated Guests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Accurately document Guests' orders for food and beverages.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all menu offerings, enabling the ability to answer inquiries regarding items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Input orders into the Micros system swiftly and in the correct sequence, utilizing proper modifiers and associated charges.
  • Verify that food items are appropriately garnished and deliver trays to tables within the assigned section, as well as assisting other dining areas as needed.
  • Execute tasks efficiently and quickly, following the principle of Full hands in, Full hands out.
  • Aid in the preparation and dismantling of tables for parties and events.
  • Clear and reset tables when required.
  • Provide support to colleagues as needed or dictated by business demands.
  • Be responsible for all sales logged under personal Micros access and ensure completion of all assigned side work tasks at the start and end of the shift.
  • Actively engage in all promotional contests and incentives, boosting sales and promoting the brand.
  • Maintain adherence to portion control standards to manage costs while maximizing the Guest experience.
  • Ensure sustained Guest satisfaction by performing check-backs after meal delivery, managing drink refills, clearing unnecessary items, pre-bussing, and promptly addressing any Guest needs.
  • Maintain a clean work area and correctly set up and break down station tables.
  • Uphold a positive professional relationship with all company Team Members to foster a collaborative and constructive workplace, promoting high morale, effectiveness, and productivity.
  • Must excel at engaging Guests in conversation to build excitement about their D&B visit.
  • Actively listen to understand Guests' orders and requirements, and clearly communicate with Guests verbally and with other Team Members via the Micros system and verbal cues.
  • Comply with all dress code mandates, presenting a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.

  • Be available to work various shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends.

  • Be able to lift and transport up to 30 pounds.
  • Maneuver around the facility and remain standing for extended periods.
  • Stand or walk for the entire duration of the shift (100%).
  • Frequently reach, bend, and stoop.
