Role and Responsibilities of Facility Service Technician:

As a Facility Service Technician for Legacy Restaurant Group, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment at our Wendy's restaurants. You will be organized, able to work independently and have experience with repairing a wide range of restaurant equipment, electrical systems, heating systems, HVAC/Refrigeration, plumbing and painting. Your technical expertise will ensure our restaurants maintain operational excellence and minimize equipment downtime. Key responsibilities include

• Repair cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC units by diagnosing issues accurately and executing necessary fixes to restore functionality.
• Service a variety of commercial kitchen equipment, from ovens and grills to fryers and additional cooking appliances.
• Administer regular maintenance activities on all kitchen machinery to decrease the likelihood of unforeseen breakdowns.
• Ensure that all interactions with customers and staff are conducted with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Carry out all service calls promptly and in accordance with assignments.
• Timely completion of paperwork and ordering of necessary components.
• Contribute to the on-call rotation scheme to promptly resolve critical equipment problems.
• Keep the service vehicle organized and clean, ensuring it has all the necessary tools and parts.
• Resolve electrical system challenges through troubleshooting and maintenance practices.
• Undertake the diagnosis and resolution of plumbing issues in restaurant facilities.
• Fulfill painting duties and address minor maintenance needs within the facility.
• Prioritize tasks and work autonomously to complete them efficiently.
• Record meticulously the work completed, parts utilized, and time allocated to each project.
• Ensure effective communication with restaurant management regarding equipment condition and repair needs.
• Execute miscellaneous tasks as delegated.

Required Skills and Experience of Facility Service Technician:

• A high school diploma or an alternative equivalent is a prerequisite for eligibility.
• Effective communication skills.

• It is necessary to have an active driver's license and a clean driving record.
• The role calls for individuals who can lift objects up to 50 pounds safely, climb and balance on a ladder, and conduct work in elevated or high positions effectively.
• The ability to handle, touch, or perceive objects, tools, or controls with the hands; reach with the hands and arms; and engage in oral or auditory communication.
• The aptitude for ambulation, ascending or steadying oneself, flexing, stooping, bowing, hunching, kneeling, or moving in a prone position.
• Essential critical thinking abilities are necessary for evaluating circumstances, resolving problems, and arriving at well-thought-out conclusions.
• Ability to effectively use the required handheld and electric tools.

Preferred Qualifications for Facility Service Technician:

• Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in commercial HVAC and Refrigeration roles for a duration exceeding two years.
• A preference is given to individuals with strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical proficiencies.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• The top choice will be individuals with a current EPA Certification.
• Specialized proficiency in the repair of diverse commercial kitchen equipment.
