Description: Kitchen Steward

Position summary: To assist in the set-up, operation and cleanup of the interior and exterior of the restaurant; washes, stores and stocks all plate ware, glassware, eating utensils, cups, bowls, pots, pans and other smallwares and equipment for the restaurant. Correctly cleans and maintains the dishwashing machine. Keeps dish machine area clean and sanitary.

Preferred expertise and qualifications:

Maintaining a constant state of standing and moderate mobility for up to four hours without a break is necessary for this position.
Essential skills involve effective communication and demonstrating attentive listening to superiors and colleagues.
Successful candidates should be prepared to regularly flex, crouch, hoist, and shift items like dish racks, garbage bins, and linens that may weigh up to 75 pounds.
Ensure the washing, storage, and restocking of all dishware, glassware, silverware, eating utensils, cups, bowls, cookware, and other small items and tools to keep enough supplies ready for serving guests
Show meticulousness in helping to spot clean various surfaces such as floors, carpets, walls, and furnishings, to uphold a safe and inviting atmosphere for team members and guests
