Job Summary:

In the role of Subway Shift Manager, you are essential for maintaining high standards of guest service and operational efficiency throughout your shift. Your duties encompass setting a positive example, aiding in food production and presentation, enforcing cleanliness and safety regulations, overseeing inventory management, and supervising staff members to ensure the restaurant operates without disruptions. By demonstrating leadership and promoting teamwork, you help establish a pleasant ambiance conducive to the well-being of both patrons and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain superior guest service by adhering to elevated standards of hospitality and engagement at all times.
• Manage the creation and serving of top-notch food in accordance with Subway's expectations.
• Uphold a hygienic and secure restaurant atmosphere that is inviting to both guests and workers.
• Regulate inventory by monitoring stock quantities and minimizing excess usage.
• Coordinate and manage the team's schedules to maintain proper staffing levels and effective functioning all through the duration of the shift.
• Offer instruction and supervision to Sandwich Artists„¢ to help them grasp their duties and adhere to current and revised protocols.
• Ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and attend to any maintenance problems in a timely manner throughout the shift.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of essential administrative responsibilities such as shift logs, to-do lists, and paperwork.
• Cultivate a constructive team culture that values teamwork and encourages staff collaboration.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A high school diploma or its equal is mandatory.
• Candidates must have at least 12 months of prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Proficient management of numerous duties hinges on strong communication and organizational aptitudes.
• Demonstrating the capacity to lead and encourage a team with different backgrounds while staying composed in a dynamic atmosphere.
• Essential computer literacy and a skillful operation of Point of Sale (POS) technology.
• Physical capacity to remain upright, flex, and move continuously during the work period, and lift objects up to 30 pounds periodically.
• Open to working adaptable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and both daytime and nighttime hours if necessary.
