But first... what is a Sandwich Artist The Sandwich Artist is the face of our brand. They are responsible for greeting and serving guests, preparing food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a fundamental of this position.

PREREQUISITES:

Education: Achieving the educational milestones equivalent to finishing high school.

Experience & Skills: No prior experience is necessary, but candidates should possess a proven aptitude for understanding instructions provided in both written and verbal forms.

Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Shows a cheerful and engaging presence when greeting customers and organizing their orders with care.
• Shows mastery of the menu options and delivers accurate explanations to customers.
• Records the order and calculates the bill amount using a Point of Sale system or cash register. Takes payments from customers and returns any change required.
• Execution of the Cash-In Procedure ensures accurate tracking of money and financial instruments received within a specific timeframe.
• Implements a methodical approach to food preparation, adhering to guidelines, and completing tasks promptly.
• Verifies the products in the sandwich unit area and replenishes them as needed to maintain an adequate inventory during the work period.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and abides by appropriate food safety, handling, and hygiene guidelines throughout the process of cooking, serving, and cleaning.
• Responsible for tidying and preserving the cleanliness of the entire restaurant to enhance its overall sanitation.
• Exhibits knowledge and adherence to the quality standards, formulas, and guidelines provided in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Ensures that the appearance and grooming standards align with the specifications detailed in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Executes minor administrative paperwork as allocated.
• Completes the University of SUBWAY coursework as directed.
