Job Description:
The Assistant Kitchen Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) to meet and exceed Subway's goals for exceptional service and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, maintaining store cleanliness, and driving the overall success of the store.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and directing staff to ensure compliance with health department regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
- Ensure customers are thanked and offered a positive farewell using departing phrases such as Thank you, please come again, to leave a positive impression.
- Enhance the guest experience by providing personalized service and addressing guests by name, when possible.
- Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by delivering efficient, respectful, and knowledgeable assistance.

- Monitor and manage corporate resources, including cash handling discrepancies, inventory control, store profitability, labor costs, cleanliness, and customer service adherence.
- Maintain an accurate record of stock quantities and ensure timely purchasing to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Ensure the store remains clean and visually attractive by following the designated duties outlined in the checklist.
- Prioritize safety measures to create a safe work environment for employees and customers.
- Ensure compliance with food handling guidelines to prevent foodborne illnesses.
- Inspect food goods and preparation schedules to ensure they meet quality and freshness standards.
- Assist in addressing customer feedback related to food and service quality.
- Track sales data, customer metrics, and product turnover to optimize staffing and resource allocation.
- Ensure that recipes are followed according to Brand specifications and portion control instructions.
- Assist in identifying employees who are eligible for career progression based on performance and adherence to company policies.

- Mitigate loss by adhering to company guidelines and reporting any potential misconduct to the Store Manager.
- Complete all required paperwork promptly, accurately, and in an organized manner.
- Ensure the store operates professionally, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the company's image and brand values.
