Role and Responsibilities:
As a General Manager, you will oversee all people and operations areas for a Wendy's restaurant. Fresh food is all we do, so we count on you and your team members to do it right for our customers every day and night. You and your team treat customers like familygreat food, great service, great everything is what keeps them coming back. You show Assistant Managers, Shift Managers, and Crew Members how to do it right, and make sure every shift is better than the last. Providing coaching and development to the team, you will create and support a fun, inviting work environment where the team feels respected and valued. Key responsibilities include:
Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring the restaurant is clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
Manage the daily operations and staff of a Wendy's restaurant with a specific focus on staffing, training, and scheduling.
Interview, hire, train and orientate a team to build a high-performing staff.
Identify 5-Star talent and put the right people in the right places at the right time through effective scheduling.
Provide coaching and development to the team, creating and supporting a fun, inviting work environment where the team feels respected and valued.
Teach team members how to live Dave's Legacies and how to Delight Every Customer.
Show Assistant Managers, Shift Managers, and Crew Members how to do it right, ensuring every shift is better than the last.
Oversee and enforce proper standards and procedures to maintain operational excellence.
Maintain excellent customer satisfaction and ensure every customer is delighted.
Manage inventory control, stock levels, and ordering to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
Oversee all financial aspects of the restaurant, including controlling food costs, labor costs, and other operational expenses.
Review financial performance and adjust strategies to meet or exceed financial goals and profit margins.
Drive revenue growth through marketing, promotions, and exceptional customer service.
Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, ensuring positive resolution and customer loyalty.
Lead, motivate, and guide management staff and crew members to achieve operational and service excellence.
Conduct performance evaluations, offer coaching, and address performance issues.
Ensure that Wendy's operational standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and food safety are consistently met and exceeded.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience leading people, even better if you did it in a foodservice environment.
High school diploma or GED (some college experience or military background is a plus).
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage operations in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety procedures and standards.
Flexible work availability.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to give and take direction like a pro.
Key to increasing store sales and profit goals.
Ability to stand for long periods, bend and kneel and be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds.
Ability to handle weather-related moments like rain at the drive-thru, taking trash out in the summer, etc.
Willing and able to wear a headset and understand restaurant equipment from a grill to registers and computers.
Ability to travel to other locations (restaurants, area office, etc.) as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous General Manager or multi-unit management experience in quick-service restaurants.
Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality, or related field.
Proven track record of managing P&L and driving profitability.
