Role Overview:

This job contributes to the success of Starbucks Reserve locations by providing an exceptional experience to all customers as ambassadors of coffee leadership and culinary quality stewards. Through a commitment to operational excellence, bakers work as a team to create the Starbucks Reserve Experience for customers and partners alike.

• Create and put together different dishes on the food menu like pizza, croissants, brioche, sandwiches, salads, and made-to-order baked eggs and aperitif choices.
• Keep the food display case filled and arranged neatly to present an appealing aesthetic throughout the day.
• Check that different types of dough and laminated goods undergo appropriate proofing procedures.
• Carry out daily preparation checklists and production needs to achieve desired levels of variety and quantity differentiated by day parts.
• Observe the inventory handling and storage protocols.
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of production sheets and any other mandatory records.
• Adhere to Starbucks' operational procedures, which encompass guidelines for handling cash, ensuring safety, and maintaining security standards.

Qualifications:

• Engaging in the service industry (kitchen, restaurant, bar, or hospitality) involves firsthand experience in serving and accommodating the preferences of customers
• English proficiency encompasses the aptitude to read, write, and communicate verbally with fluency
• Ready to work at unconventional times, like early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• In situations where it is not mandated by law, having a food handler card is optional
• Basic knife skills
• Quick grasp of new concepts
• Competence in comprehending and executing verbal and written directives, and seeking further explanation when necessary
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Capability to engage in teamwork, cultivating beneficial relationships

• Physical competence to bend, rotate, squat, extend, crawl, propel/haul, ascend stairs, and maintain standing position for extended periods
• Ability to carry 35 lbs consistently and occasionally lift/push up to 50 lbs
