Role and Responsibilities:

As a Closing Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating closing procedures of the restaurant. This role emphasizes compliance with cleanliness, food safety, and efficient operations, while fostering a productive and friendly work environment. You will lead the team during closing shifts, ensure excellent customer service, drive sales, manage restaurant operations, and train and develop team members. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the team during closing shifts and ensure smooth closing procedures.
• Work with restaurant management to provide direction, training, and expertise required on every shift to exceed customer expectations.
• Supervise and coach crew members in their delivery of Wendy's 5 Key Drivers: Friendliness, Accuracy, Cleanliness, Food Quality, and Speed of Service.
• Assist in the execution of daily operational activities and overall restaurant operations.
• Ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and food safety regulations during closing procedures.
• Perform all closing tasks including securing the restaurant, counting cash, and completing closing checklists.
• Monitor and reinforce quality service and cleanliness standards.
• Train, develop, and mentor staff to build a high-performing team.
• Drive sales and manage food, labor, and controllable costs during closing shift.
• Ensure protection of Wendy's brand and assets during closing procedures.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assign employees to store positions and distribute breaks appropriately.
• Complete shift reports, documentation, and administrative tasks.
• Motivate and empower employees to complete closing shift goals.
• Drive company errands such as making bank deposits and picking up change.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be willing to close as the Closing Manager four days a week.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift 25-50 pounds.
• Mobility including bending, reaching, wiping, and carrying.
• Ability to stand for long periods without a break.
• Willingness to work shifts that include evenings and weekends.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and vehicle insurance coverage within applicable state guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build a motivated team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual preferred.
• Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience.
• Experience managing closing shifts in a fast-paced environment.
