Billing Clerk

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Billing Clerk at Subway, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy while delivering excellent customer service. You will handle various responsibilities related to billing, cash management, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

• Ensure pleasant and professional interactions with customers while processing transactions.
• Demonstrate understanding of menu items and communicate them accurately to customers.
• Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register to record transactions and calculate total payments.
• Manage and track all cash, checks, and financial transactions during working hours.
• Ensure food is properly organized, prepared, and delivered according to set guidelines.
• Monitor and restock sandwich unit items as needed throughout the shift.
• Follow correct food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures during all food preparation and service tasks.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness by following established cleaning and organization standards.
• Comply with all quality procedures, recipes, and operational methods outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Adhere to grooming and professional appearance standards as outlined by Subway.
• Perform basic clerical and paperwork duties as required.
• Complete the University of SUBWAY learning modules as part of your ongoing training and development.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Enrollment in or completion of a high school education program.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Proficiency in operating a POS system or cash register.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and walk throughout the shift.
• Capability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 30 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior customer service or cashier experience in a quick-service or retail environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Commitment to continuous learning and career advancement within the organization.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation is competitive and based on a standard 40-hour work week. Eligible team members may receive additional benefits and advancement opportunities based on performance and tenure.
