Role and Responsibilities:

As a Prep Cook at Subway, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring efficient customer service while adhering to the company's food safety and quality protocols.

• Assist customers in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring orders are processed accurately and promptly.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of menu offerings and accurately describe them to guests.
• Operate the Point of Sale system or cash register to process sales, payments, and issue receipts or change as needed.
• Maintain accurate records to track cash handling and asset management within accounting operations.
• Prepare meals according to established recipes and procedures while minimizing delays and maintaining quality standards.
• Inspect and restock items at the sandwich station to ensure sufficient inventory throughout service hours.
• Follow food handling and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Execute the 3-step cleaning process to maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization.
• Comply with the quality standards, recipes, and procedures outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Maintain personal appearance and grooming in accordance with Subway's professional standards.
• Perform light clerical duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Successfully complete required training through the University of SUBWAY.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Flexibility to work across various restaurant areas and operate POS systems.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds frequently and 30 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• No prior experience required; however, a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are valued.
