Role and Responsibilities:

The role of a Checkout Team Member involves direct customer interaction, product preparation, and contributing to the overall operations of the store. You will ensure orders are processed with precision and efficiency while adhering to strict safety and cleanliness guidelines.

• Safely and proficiently manage the operation of all store equipment.
• Deposit deliveries into their proper storage locations, workstations, and chilled storage units.
• Adhere to company requirements when preparing food items.
• Receive, record, and fulfill orders accurately from phone and direct customer interactions.
• Conduct inventory audits and finalize paperwork.
• Consistently sanitize equipment and surroundings daily.
• Follow orientation and on-the-job training procedures accordingly.
• Interpret and provide accurate written procedures.
• Utilize transparent and effective communication methods with clients and colleagues to facilitate order processing.
• Execute simple mathematical tasks, such as ensuring the correct distribution of monetary change.
• Employ a computer or touch screen for precise recording of customer orders.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed when handling hot surfaces, sharp tools, or machinery.
• Help maintain a well-organized and orderly workspace.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
• Proficient communication skills with customers and team members.
• Elementary mathematics proficiency and ability to make precise monetary adjustments.
• Strong motor coordination for accurate and efficient task execution.
• Effective hand-eye coordination for food preparation and equipment operation tasks.
• Ability to perform well under high-pressure scenarios, working independently or as part of a team while meeting quality control standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in fast-paced customer service or food preparation environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily standing with occasional short walks.
• Transporting product shipments up to 50 lbs using a manual dolly.
• Handling large cans, pizza sauce containers (up to 30 lbs), and batches of pizza dough (approximately 12 lbs each).
• Maneuvering trays on dollies requiring force up to 7.5 lbs.
• Periodic climbing of stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks.
• Regular stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
• Sustained use of hands for food preparation and tool manipulation including pizza peels, knives, and packaging materials.

Work Conditions:

• Exposure to temperature variations from 36°F in refrigerated areas to above 90°F in other sections.
• Occasional outdoor duties such as trash removal.
• Proximity to food fragrances, cornmeal dust, heat-emitting surfaces, sharp corners, and mechanical parts.
• Working in small spaces such as walk-in refrigerated compartments.
