Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated competence in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems (like Micros), accurately processing cash and credit card payments, and reconciling personal funds at the conclusion of each work period.
  • Must possess strong English reading and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with patrons, building excitement and promoting the overall Dave & Buster's experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide an exceptional guest encounter by delivering the perfect mix of dining, beverages, and entertainment in a vibrant setting designed for maximum fun.
  • Keep the direct supervisor fully and immediately informed regarding any significant issues or unusual circumstances.
  • Proactively address and correct problems, or propose viable alternative solutions as necessary.
  • Cultivate a warm, energetic, and enjoyable atmosphere for both guests and fellow team members.
  • Strictly adhere to all company policies regarding sanitation and hygiene.
  • Maintain accountability for a personal cash bank, ensuring the accuracy of all financial dealings by correctly using credit card machines, providing precise change, and keeping a sufficient amount of cash for transactions.
  • Comply with all responsible alcohol service protocols to prevent over-intoxication and manage intoxicated patrons appropriately.
  • Observe and evaluate guest behavior, escalating any concerning situations to a Manager promptly.
  • Welcome and greet guests at assigned tables in a timely and cheerful manner.
  • Accurately record guest orders for food and drinks.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the entire menu, capable of answering guest inquiries about food and beverage items and their preparation.
  • Input orders into the POS system efficiently and correctly, using all necessary modifiers and charges.
  • Ensure dishes and drinks are correctly presented and promptly deliver trays to both assigned sections and other areas requiring assistance.
  • Execute duties rapidly and efficiently, strictly following the Full hands in, Full hands out principle.
  • Assist in the setup and takedown of tables for group events.
  • Clear and reset tables as required by business volume.
  • Support other team members whenever necessary or dictated by operational demands.
  • Be responsible for all sales processed under personal Micros login and completing assigned side work duties at the start and end of the shift.
  • Actively participate in promotional programs and contests to boost sales and market the brand.
  • Follow established portion controls to manage costs while maximizing guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure continuous guest satisfaction by conducting timely check-backs after food and drink delivery, maintaining beverage levels, clearing unnecessary items, pre-bussing, and promptly addressing guest requests.
  • Keep the service station organized and clean, ensuring proper setup and breakdown of station areas.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working relationship with all company team members to promote a harmonious, productive, and efficient workplace culture.
  • Must be proficient in verbal communication with guests to generate excitement about the D&B experience.
  • Actively listen to understand guest orders and needs, and effectively communicate with guests verbally and with colleagues via the POS system.
  • Always present a clean, neat, and professional appearance, strictly adhering to the specified dress code.
