Role and Responsibilities:

As a Cashier, your key responsibilities will involve engaging with customers, preparing products, and assisting in the day-to-day running of the store. Your primary focus will be on ensuring orders are processed promptly and correctly, while also maintaining a clean and safe environment.

• Safely and effectively use all equipment found within the store.
• Shift stock obtained from delivery areas to respective storage spots, workstations, and walk-in cooling units.
• Produce food items as per the standards outlined by the company.
• Accurately receive and process orders made through phone calls and in-person interactions.
• Perform a stock inventory and fill out the relevant documentation.
• Perform daily sanitation of equipment and premises.
• Stick to the outlined procedures for orientation and on-the-job training.
• Grasp and give clear written directives.
• Utilize precise communication with both customers and colleagues to manage order transactions smoothly.
• Complete basic math assignments, including the proper dispensing of monetary change.
• Enter customer requests accurately via a computer terminal or touch screen.
• Implement safety protocols for dealing with heated surfaces, sharp instruments, or moving equipment.
• Help keep the work environment clean and well-arranged.

Key Requirements and Proficiencies:

• The minimum age accepted is 18 years.
• Capacity to communicate articulately and positively with both customers and coworkers.
• Elementary math skills and the proficiency to accurately handle monetary transactions.
• Tasks are performed accurately and efficiently through effective motor coordination.
• The skill of using hands and eyes in harmony for activities like food preparation and equipment operation.
• The aptitude to handle pressure by working independently or as part of a team and achieving quality control benchmarks.

Physical Requirements:

• The usual stance is standing, with occasional short walks for brief periods.
• Moving sizable deliveries weighing up to 50 lbs by utilizing a manual cart.
• Transporting merchandise such as large cans, pizza sauce containers (weighing up to 30 pounds), and trays of pizza dough (around 12 pounds each).
• Requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force to maneuver trays on dollies.
• Climbing stairs or ladders sporadically for maintenance assignments.
• Repeatedly engaging in actions like stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching to accomplish tasks.
• Frequent utilization of hands in the culinary tasks of food preparation and the manipulation of instruments such as pizza peels, slicers, and containers.

Work Conditions:

• From 36°F in coolers to temperatures surpassing 90°F in work areas, employees are exposed to varying levels of heat and cold.
• Sporadic outdoor assignments such as clearing trash or other duties.
• Coming into contact with food scents, cornmeal debris, elevated temperatures on surfaces, sharp corners, and moving mechanical mechanisms.
• Constrained work areas, like walk-in cold rooms.
