Job Summary of Food Server:

As a Food Server at IHOP, your role involves delivering quick, effective, and friendly assistance to all diners. Tasks include welcoming and guiding patrons to their tables, noting meal selections, delivering dishes, handling transactions, and maintaining clean and orderly dining spaces to guarantee a pleasant and satisfying mealtime for guests.

Responsibilities of Food Server:

Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
Execute the Service Guidelines per the IHOP SOP to ensure a high-quality guest experience.
Handle guest complaints in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, thank guests, and invite them to return.
Memorize and apply IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies, and plating and menu knowledge.
Comply with SOP methods in regard to guest checks and server banking procedures.
Stock and rotate all needed supplies in the service areas and dining room as assigned per shift.
Comply with all local and SOP health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.

Physical Demands of Food Server:

In the course of carrying out job responsibilities, the worker often needs to utilize their hands for manipulating, touching, or sensing various objects, equipment, or mechanisms
Extend your arms and hands; and ascend or maintain equilibrium.
The staff often needs to be on their feet, move around, bend, squat, or get down on their hands and knees, communicate verbally, listen attentively, be observant of their environment, and have a sense of taste or smell
Sometimes the staff member is required to raise and/or transport objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
