This role demands speed, precision, and an outgoing personality, focusing on providing timely beverage and food service in a lively environment while maintaining strict adherence to safety and company operational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in operating POS systems (such as Micros) for accurate order entry, managing cash transactions, processing credit cards, and correctly reconciling all funds at the close of each shift is required.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A minimum age of 18 years is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage guests effectively, fostering excitement and positive associations with the Dave & Buster's brand experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to every Guest by delivering the finest blend of food, drinks, and gaming entertainment in a fantastic, high-energy setting.
  • Keep the management team fully informed of any significant issues or non-routine operational matters immediately.
  • Address any issues that arise with immediate corrective measures or suggest alternative solutions as needed.
  • Cultivate a welcoming, enjoyable atmosphere for both Guests and fellow Team Members.
  • Strictly adhere to all corporate sanitation and hygiene policies.
  • Be accountable for the personal cash bank, ensuring financial accuracy through proper credit card machine use, precise change calculation and return, and maintaining sufficient cash reserves for transactions.
  • Consistently follow all established alcohol service guidelines, including recognizing and preventing intoxication and handling impaired Guests responsibly.
  • Evaluate Guest behavior and promptly alert a Manager when actions necessitate their attention.
  • Offer a warm and timely greeting to newly seated Guests.
  • Accurately document and input Guest beverage and food orders.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the entire menu, enabling the ability to answer all questions regarding preparation and ingredients for both food and drink items.
  • Enter orders into the Micros system swiftly and in the correct order sequence, applying appropriate modifications and charges.
  • Verify that all food items are correctly presented and efficiently deliver trays to assigned tables and support other sections of the venue as required.
  • Work with urgency and efficiency, following the practice of moving with items in both hands (e.g., clearing and delivering).
  • Assist in the setting up and breakdown of party areas.
  • Assist with clearing and resetting tables as necessary.
  • Provide support to colleagues as required or as dictated by the volume of business.
  • Assume responsibility for all sales processed under personal Micros credentials and diligently complete all assigned side work tasks at the beginning and end of the shift.
  • Actively participate in promotional programs and contests to boost sales and enhance brand visibility.
  • Ensure adherence to portion control guidelines to manage costs while maximizing Guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain continuous Guest satisfaction by performing check-backs after food delivery, ensuring drinks are refreshed, removing unnecessary items, pre-bussing, and responding promptly to all needs.
  • Ensure the service station remains tidy, setting up and clearing station tables appropriately.
  • Maintain professional and collaborative working relationships with all company Team Members to promote a harmonious and productive climate, contributing to high morale and efficiency.
  • Essential communication skills include listening attentively to Guest orders and needs, and then effectively communicating with Guests verbally and with Team Members using the Micros system.
  • Maintain a professional, clean, and neat appearance by adhering strictly to the required dress code at all times.
  • The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met to successfully execute the primary functions of this role.
  • While carrying out the duties of this position, the Team Member will routinely be required to:
  • Be available to work days, nights, and/or weekends.
  • Function effectively in a high-volume, noisy, and fast-paced setting with numerous distractions.
  • Be able to read and take handwritten notes.
  • Lift and transport items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Move throughout the facility and remain standing for extended periods.
  • Stand or walk for the entirety of the shift (100%).
  • Frequently reach, bend, and stoop.
