Role and Responsibilities:

The District Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing a group of up to six restaurants within a designated district. This role involves driving revenue growth, ensuring operational excellence, and enhancing profitability while maintaining a focus on employee development and adherence to Popeyes' high standards. You will also be responsible for supporting Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) and ensuring all restaurants meet company guidelines.

  • Manage the daily operations and performance of up to six restaurants, ensuring they meet corporate objectives.
  • Ensure each restaurant is staffed with capable General Managers (RGMs), Assistant Managers, shift supervisors, and crew members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets while maintaining budgeted profits within the district.
  • Analyze financial reports, identify areas of improvement, and implement cost-control strategies to boost profitability.
  • Conduct operational inspections to ensure culinary excellence, adherence to safety standards, and satisfaction with customer service.
  • Recruit, train, assess, and, if necessary, terminate RGMs; ensure performance evaluations are conducted for all management and staff levels.
  • Assist RGMs in identifying training needs and oversee the execution of training programs for staff.
  • Help ensure compliance with company policies related to safety, security, cash management, sexual harassment prevention, and labor laws.
  • Ensure each restaurant meets operational standards to be considered for expansion approval.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate and franchise regulations, ensuring legal and operational standards are met across the district.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A three-year college diploma in business or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience may substitute.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing multiple units in the food service industry, especially in quick-service restaurant management.
  • Proven success as a restaurant general manager, with strong leadership, people management, and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening and clear, concise delivery.
  • Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the district and work flexible hours.
