The Carryout Associate is a vital member of the team at Bob Evans Restaurants. Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests arriving for their carryout orders.
  • Demonstrate strong menu knowledge and apply situational selling techniques when assisting carryout customers with their orders.
  • Accurately and efficiently assemble and package all food, beverage, and condiment items.
  • Verify that orders are prepared correctly and in a timely manner, adhering to all company standards.
  • Engage with guests professionally to understand their needs and guide them through menu choices.
  • Utilize a headset to maintain clear communication with managers and colleagues, ensuring a swift guest experience.
  • Process both cash and credit card payments, meticulously reconciling all sales including coupons and gift cards.
  • Adhere to all safe food and beverage handling procedures and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Ensure the carryout station is free of clutter and that all work areas are well-stocked and sanitary.
  • Operate food preparation equipment, such as beverage dispensers and salad cases, with care and safety.
  • Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and inventory levels of the bakery and retail sections.
  • Address guest complaints effectively, knowing when to escalate issues to a manager.
  • Respond to phone calls promptly and courteously, using the specified company script for each meal period.
  • Enter carryout orders into the point-of-sale system with high accuracy.
  • Provide support in expediting and serving meals to seated guests.
  • Help with greeting guests and guiding them to their tables.
  • Offer support by processing guest payments when the cashier is occupied.
  • Contribute to general restaurant operations by pre-bussing tables, rolling silverware, or performing other tasks as needed.
  • Be prepared to assist with duties in other areas of the restaurant.
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested.
