A Checkout Team Member performs activities such as handling a cash register, talking with customers, and assisting other restaurant employees as needed. Handling credit card payments, accepting cash payments, providing change, and maintaining a point of sale (POS) system for transactions are all common tasks. A Checkout Team Member's responsibilities also include welcoming customers, responding with customer complaints, and remaining up to date on the menu and sales policies. Experience in the food service or retail industries is advantageous, and necessary skills include basic math, customer service, and communication talents.
