The Kitchen Manager at Papa John's is the essential leader responsible for the excellence of all back-of-house operations. This role focuses on ensuring every product meets our Better Ingredients. Better Pizza. promise by managing food preparation, quality control, ingredient storage, and the efficiency of the kitchen team. You'll drive throughput and consistency from the dough mixer to the oven.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated capacity to lead a kitchen team and maintain a productive, high-energy work environment focused on output.
• Strong supervisory abilities with a focus on coaching and developing kitchen staff to consistently hit performance benchmarks.
• Must have accessible transportation for store needs, necessary supply runs, and mandatory company training sessions.
• Substantial track record in managing food cost controls, monitoring waste, and handling inventory valuation to support store profitability goals.
• Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience in a supervisory role within kitchen or high-volume food production environments.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and optimize the daily flow of all kitchen activities, including dough preparation, ingredient portioning, and final assembly to guarantee exceptional Papa John's quality.
• Recruit, schedule, train, and provide performance feedback to all back-of-house team members, ensuring thorough understanding of proprietary recipes and methods.
• Champion and strictly uphold all local and corporate food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and safe workspace for customers and colleagues.
• Systematically oversee ingredient stock levels, manage precise ordering processes, and conduct accurate physical inventory counts to prevent shortages or spoilage.
• Work closely with the General Manager to strategize and implement operational improvements that boost speed of service and optimize kitchen labor use.
• Monitor and maintain all food prep and cooking equipment, coordinating necessary repairs or preventative maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
