Line Cook

Job Summary of Line Cook:

In your position as a Line Cook at IHOP, your responsibilities include the storage, preparation, cooking, and presentation of all food items following local guidelines and IHOP's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Your crucial duty is to ensure the delivery of top-notch dishes that satisfy customers' standards and uphold our dedication to food safety and quality.

Responsibilities of Line Cook:

• Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with IHOP employees.
• Prepare food according to specifications set forth in the IHOP SOP manuals.
• Memorize and apply all IHOP specialized galley terminology, plating, menu items, procedures, galley utensils, abbreviations, and methodologies.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station.
• Comply with all local and SOP health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
• Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines.

Physical Demands of Line Cook:

• During the execution of this role, the staff member frequently needs to be on their feet, move around, and communicate verbally.
• The worker often needs to use their hands to touch, handle, or manipulate items, tools, or controls, as well as stretch with their arms, bend down, kneel, squat, or move on hands and knees. Effective communication, listening, situational awareness, and olfactory or gustatory perception are also critical requirements.
• The worker is expected to frequently lift and/or relocate items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally handle items weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Close visual capabilities and the ability to see at a distance are necessary for this position.
