Assistant General Manager

Description:

As a key member of our leadership team, the Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in the daily operations of the restaurant. You'll partner with the General Manager to lead by example, ensuring we uphold our commitment to excellence in every aspect of the business. This role involves everything from overseeing daily shifts to helping manage staff and inventory, all with the goal of driving sales and maintaining a top-tier experience for our guests. We're looking for a hands-on leader who can step in to run the restaurant smoothly when the General Manager is not present, while also contributing to a positive, productive, and fun work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Physically capable of meeting the demands of a fast-paced food service environment.
• Proven ability to develop, mentor, and lead a successful team.
• At least 2 years of management experience.
• Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Dependable and reliable.
• A positive, cheerful, and professional attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A genuine passion for serving and helping others.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the restaurant effectively and efficiently in the absence of the General Manager.
• Collaborate with the management team to improve sales and profitability by upholding the highest standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Support the hiring process by interviewing and selecting qualified crew members in line with company policies.
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage for all shifts while controlling labor costs.
• Provide ongoing training and development for all team members.
• Foster a cooperative and respectful working relationship among all crew members and managers.
• Administer coaching and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Perform various crew duties as needed to support restaurant operations.
• Conduct regular meetings with the team to communicate procedural updates, promotional information, and safety standards.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure the restaurant is always fully stocked.
• Control food costs by managing inventory and reducing waste.
• Complete and maintain all necessary reports and records in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.
• Ensure all equipment and the entire building are properly maintained through regular cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Handle all cash management procedures with accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure the entire team adheres to all human resources, sanitation, safety, and security policies.
• Uphold professional appearance and conduct at all times.
