Job Description:

The Baker has the important responsibility of preparing yeast rolls, cakes, pies, specialty desserts and other freshly baked products. The Baker always pays special attention to freshness, speed, cleanliness, and organization while carrying out his or her daily duties.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare hand-made yeast rolls, cakes, pies, specialty desserts, and other baked goods according to Golden Corral recipes and standards.
• Prepare breakfast bakery items on weekends to meet production demands.
• Follow the buffet production system to ensure product quality and shelf life compliance.
• Ensure all bakery products are fresh, visually appealing, tasty, and served at the appropriate temperature.
• Maintain consistent portioning and recipe yields.
• Adhere to the Bakery and Dessert Caf Production Guide to maintain high quality standards.
• Provide friendly, courteous assistance to guests with baked goods questions and selections.
• Follow just-in-time delivery practices to ensure fresh products are always available.
• Perform assigned cleaning duties and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area.
• Comply with all local health department regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous baking or food preparation experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion sizes, and safety/sanitation guidelines precisely.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and food quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Good communication skills and a positive, guest-friendly attitude.
• Flexibility to work weekends and varied shifts as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
