Job Summary of Store Floor Manager:

In the capacity of Store Floor Manager at IHOP, you will be tasked with supervising the restaurant's employees. Your core responsibilities will encompass managing operations in both the front and back areas of the establishment, with a strong emphasis on enhancing profitability and sales growth, all while adhering to IHOP's high standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities of Store Floor Manager:

• Assist in meeting the expected sales and profit margins.
• Create and maintain strong and operational professional connections with IHOP team members and diners.
• Enact a comprehensive training program known as Craft Training for restaurant hourly staff members to drive operational improvements and enhance guest interactions.
• Provide assistance in accomplishing annual financial goals, local restaurant marketing campaigns, customer service standards, and human resource objectives for the assigned outlet following the existing IHOP Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and operational schedule.
• Abide by the federal, state, and local guidelines that are relevant to the assigned area.
• Assist in the recruitment, education, and preservation of employees in line with the prevailing SOP and operational design for the given unit.
• Ensure that there are enough foodstuffs, paper products, kitchen supplies, safety items, janitorial supplies, uniforms, linens, and miscellaneous goods available.
• Follow federal regulations and standard operating procedures to guarantee the appropriate working condition of equipment, building structures, and premises.
• Ensure safety and sanitation practices align with federal, state, and local regulations and adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Abide by the security measures outlined in the SOP.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of all required reports and paperwork.
• Undertake any other duties as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities of Store Floor Manager:

Provide direct supervision to craft workers within an allocated unit, managing the general direction, coordination, and evaluation of the company's operations. Carry out supervisory duties according to the organization's policies and relevant laws. Tasks include conducting interviews, hiring, and training employees; organizing work assignments; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.

Qualifications of Store Floor Manager:

• The minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED, along with two to four years of pertinent experience and/or training, or a similar combination of educational attainment and hands-on learning.
• Competence in English language skills for effective communication through speaking and reading, as well as the skill to make sense of documents such as safety protocols, operational guidelines, and procedural handbooks.
• Aptitude for writing standard reports and official letters.
• Capability to effectively convey messages to gatherings of diners or staff members.
• Adeptness in carrying out mathematical computations across a range of measurement units, incorporating whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, through addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Competence in computing rates, ratios, and percentages and in depicting and analyzing bar graphs.
• The skill to utilize ordinary logic to interpret and execute instructions provided through written, verbal, or visual means.
• The competence to tackle issues concerning several concrete variables in standardized conditions.
• Driving for Company business necessitates the possession of a valid Driver's License.
• Successful completion of assigned IHOP training courses leads to certification.
