Key Responsibilities and Requirements for Sous Chef:

• Prepare high-quality food according to standardized recipes and service schedules.
• Serve meals with proper portioning, temperature, and presentation.
• Follow ticket collection and documentation procedures during service.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, refrigerators, and storage areas.
• Store or discard food safely and according to food handling standards.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly.
• Assist with production planning, record keeping, ordering, and receiving.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Attend in-service and safety training.
• Foster a positive and respectful work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures including:
• Wearing cut gloves when handling knives and sharp tools.
• Using oven mitts or gloves when handling hot items.
• Wearing slip-resistant shoes and using proper lifting techniques.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
