Job Description:

We are currently seeking a vibrant individual to join our team as a Sandwich Creator. The Sandwich Artist is recognized as the brand ambassador who greets and assists customers, prepares meals, upholds food safety measures, and manages light documentation duties. This position underscores the significance of delivering exceptional customer service as a core aspect of the role.

Prerequisites:

• Education: Must be working toward or have achieved a high school diploma or an equivalent credential.
• Qualifications & Abilities: Prior experience is not required; however, candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Applicants should be capable of performing a range of restaurant duties, including operating a modern Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register.
• The position involves continuous physical activity, including bending, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Display a pleasant and accommodating attitude toward patrons as they arrive and place their orders.
• Demonstrate expertise in the menu items and communicate them clearly and accurately to diners.
• Use a POS system or cash register to record purchases and calculate the total amount due. Collect payments from customers and return accurate change.
• Maintain detailed records of cash, coins, and other payment methods handled during the shift.
• Follow the correct procedures for meal preparation to ensure quality and timely service.
• Inspect and restock sandwich unit items to maintain sufficient quantities throughout the shift.
• Comply with essential regulations regarding food hygiene, safety, and proper food handling practices during preparation, service, and cleanup.
• Execute the three-step cleaning process to maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to quality standards, recipes, and methods outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Follow appearance and grooming standards as specified in the SUBWAY Operations Manual.
• Perform light administrative tasks as assigned.
• Successfully complete all University of SUBWAY coursework and training programs.
