Team Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that each customer's experience meets or exceeds expectations. They supervise the performance of team members and lead them to perform all tasks according to company standards. The Team Leader works to maintain high levels of customer service, supports operational tasks, and participates in a skills development program aimed at career growth within Whataburger.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Communication

  • Bolsters and champions the Whataburger Brand presence at all times.
  • Makes management aware of any issues preventing timely reporting to work as originally planned.
  • - Is diligent in attending all necessary meetings and training sessions.
  • Raises concerns beyond the Team Leader's control to the Manager currently overseeing operations.

  • Supervises the Drive-Thru operations to ensure that services are provided promptly.
  • Ensures that the restaurant's appearance consistently meets Whataburger's specified criteria.
  • Cultivates a customer-centric mindset among team members to improve customer relations.
  • Ensures that all processes are conducted following the relevant policies and procedures.
  • Composes shift reports to update management and other relevant parties on important events.
  • Assures that all equipment operates safely and meets the standards set by the company.

Customer

  • Makes certain that customers receive their orders in a timely manner and are satisfied with the service.
  • Ensures the visual aspects of the restaurant are managed to project a positive image.
  • Deals with customer concerns based on company procedures and strives to ensure customer happiness.

Finance

  • Shows diligence in safeguarding and managing company funds.
  • Ensures accurate handling of cash transactions in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Supervises cash handling activities and ensures inventory controls are enforced.
  • Manages the tasks related to cash deposit preparation and change fund operations.
  • Manages the balance between labor and food costs to sustain high levels of productivity during shifts.

Physical Requirements:

  • The role requires the capacity to carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Capacity to endure standing for the duration of the work period.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, and push.
  • Frequent contact with water, detergents, and food products.
  • Frequent handwashing.
