Role and Responsibilities of General Maintenance Worker:

As a General Maintenance Worker for Legacy Restaurant Group, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment at our Wendy's restaurants. You will be organized, able to work independently and have experience with repairing a wide range of restaurant equipment, electrical systems, heating systems, HVAC/Refrigeration, plumbing and painting. Your technical expertise will ensure our restaurants maintain operational excellence and minimize equipment downtime. Key responsibilities include

• Troubleshoot and repair faults in cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment through detailed diagnostic processes and efficient repair techniques.
• Manage the repair and upkeep of commercial kitchen machinery, such as ovens, grills, fryers, and various cooking tools.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on restaurant equipment to proactively address potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers and team members.
• Promptly attend to and complete all assigned service calls.
• Accurately order parts and complete all required paperwork promptly.
• Take your turn in the on-call rotation schedule to address urgent equipment matters promptly.
• Ensure the service vehicle is in a clean and orderly condition, with all the essential tools and parts readily accessible.
• Detect and troubleshoot electrical system issues to facilitate repairs.
• Repair and troubleshoot plumbing complications within dining establishments.
• Execute painting tasks and perform minor repairs within the facility as requested.
• Independently manage workload to efficiently prioritize and complete tasks.
• Keep accurate accounts of the tasks conducted, components employed, and hours spent on each job.
• Effectively engage with restaurant management on issues related to equipment status and repair requirements.
• Fulfill any additional duties as instructed.

Required Skills and Experience of General Maintenance Worker:

• The basic educational qualification needed is a high school diploma or its comparable.
• Effective communication skills.
• Total commitment to working diligently, arriving on time, and maintaining order.
• Portray a professional personal image.
• Maintaining a valid driver's license and demonstrating good driving behavior is vital.
• Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely, climb ladders with balance, and complete tasks at elevated or high locations.
• Proficiency in utilizing hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms; and speaking or hearing.
• Ability in walking, climbing or balancing, bending, leaning, kneeling, hunching, squatting, or moving close to the ground.

Preferred Qualifications for General Maintenance Worker:

• Ideal candidates will have more than two years of hands-on experience as an HVAC and Refrigeration technician in commercial facilities.
• Candidates with robust abilities in electrical, electronic, and mechanical disciplines are preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Candidates with an EPA Certification in good standing are preferred.
• Seasoned in providing repair services for a wide range of commercial kitchen appliances.
