Job Summary of Assistant Manager:
This role supports the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and team performance. This role may be assigned specific operational areas and is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness while driving sales and profitability.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Manager:
- Manage restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, ensuring adherence to company standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Assist in executing the restaurant's business plan as directed by the General Manager.
- Implement all PRIDE systems and routines in day - to - day operations.
- Oversee guest service, respond to customer complaints, and ensure satisfaction is maintained.
- Control inventory, order products, manage cash procedures, and optimize labor and product costs to maximize profitability.
- Communicate and oversee the execution of product promotions.
- Staff, train, and develop hourly employees through hiring, onboarding, ongoing feedback, and performance reviews.
- Prepare employee schedules to meet staffing requirements for all day parts.
- Maintain a positive work environment, fostering cooperation, morale, productivity, and efficiency among team members.
- Report operational, employee, and customer issues to the General Manager promptly.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the General Manager to support overall restaurant success.
Qualifications and Experience of Assistant Manager:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; further education is a plus.
- 13 years of management experience in a high - volume restaurant; quick - service restaurant (QSR) experience strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service and employee relations skills.
- Ability to oversee multiple operational areas in a fast - paced environment.
- Excellent problem - solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, work in various temperature ranges, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Detail - oriented with the ability to perform under pressure.
