The Bar Crew Member at Dave & Buster's plays a crucial role in delivering a top-tier entertainment and dining experience for every guest. You'll be key in interacting directly with customers, accurately processing orders and payments, and ensuring the service area runs with maximum efficiency. Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to use a point-of-sale (POS) system, including taking payments, accurately managing a personal cash bank, and balancing all financial transactions at the end of the shift.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English are required for clear and friendly guest and team interactions.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A genuine talent for engaging with customers and creating excitement around the full Dave & Buster's experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding service to all guests, ensuring they have a fun and memorable experience that smoothly combines dining, drinks, and gaming.
  • Immediately notify management or a supervisor of any significant issues, guest concerns, or operational problems.
  • Be proactive in problem-solving, quickly resolving minor issues or suggesting effective remedies when necessary.
  • Help foster a positive, welcoming, and high-energy atmosphere for both guests and fellow team members.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all company policies regarding food and beverage sanitation and hygiene standards.
  • Manage all personal financial transactions, accurately operating card readers, providing correct change, and maintaining an appropriate supply of cash.
  • Strictly follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines, focusing on guest safety and preventing over-intoxication.
  • Monitor the dining and bar areas and identify situations requiring manager intervention, such as escalated guest issues.
  • Warmly greet guests who have just been seated in your section promptly.
  • Accurately take and record all food and beverage orders.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the entire menu, confidently answering guest questions about ingredients, preparation, and drink options.
  • Quickly and correctly enter orders into the POS system, noting all special requests or required modifications.
  • Ensure all served products are correctly presented and assist with running food and drinks to the appropriate service areas as needed.
  • Work with maximum speed and efficiency, consistently practicing the full hands in, full hands out philosophy.
  • Help with the setting up and breaking down of event spaces and party reservations.
  • Assist in clearing and resetting tables to accommodate business volume.
  • Be a supportive team player, assisting colleagues whenever necessary or when dictated by high business volumes.
  • Be accountable for all sales processed under your unique employee credentials and ensure all assigned opening and closing side work duties are completed thoroughly.
  • Actively participate in promotional campaigns and sales contests to drive revenue and enhance brand visibility.
  • Adhere to precise portioning and serving standards to control costs while guaranteeing maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure continuous guest satisfaction by performing timely table check-backs, refilling beverages, clearing empty items, and promptly addressing all guest needs.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and properly set up for service at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members to maintain a positive, efficient, and high-morale work environment.
  • Use persuasive and upbeat communication to build enthusiasm for the D&B experience, encouraging sales.
  • Listen attentively to understand guest needs and clearly communicate orders and information both verbally and through the POS system to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Adhere to the company uniform and grooming code, always maintaining a professional, neat, and clean appearance.
