As a Beverage Service Assistant at Dave & Buster's, you are a critical part of delivering our unique eat, drink, play, and watch experience. Dave & Buster's is the premier entertainment and dining complex for adults and families, offering a full-service restaurant, a full bar with innovative drinks, and the exciting Million Dollar Midway arcade. This role is responsible for seamless drink and food delivery, guest satisfaction, and maintaining an upbeat, fun atmosphere while efficiently processing all transactions and adhering to company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven capability in utilizing a POS system (such as Micros) for order entry, processing various forms of payment, including credit cards, and meticulously reconciling all funds at the close of your shift.
  • Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact with Guests and generate excitement for the Dave & Buster's experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide an unmatched Guest experience by seamlessly combining outstanding food, exceptional beverages, and high-energy entertainment in a perfect celebratory setting.
  • Immediately report any issues or unusual circumstances of importance to the direct supervisor.
  • Take necessary corrective action promptly or suggest alternative solutions when challenges arise.
  • Cultivate a welcoming and enjoyable environment for both Guests and fellow Team Members.
  • Comply with all corporate sanitation and hygiene protocols.
  • Manage an individual cash bank and ensure all monetary dealings are precise, including correct credit card machine operation, calculating and providing accurate change, and maintaining an appropriate amount of cash for transactions.
  • Strictly follow responsible alcohol service guidelines to prevent Guest intoxication and properly handle already intoxicated patrons.
  • Monitor Guest behavior and recognize when a Manager needs to be alerted regarding a situation.
  • Warmly and promptly welcome all newly seated Guests.
  • Accurately record all Guest food and beverage orders.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the entire menu to confidently answer questions about preparation, ingredients, and drink items.
  • Process orders rapidly into the Micros system, ensuring the proper sequence, modifications, and charges are applied.
  • Verify that food items are correctly presented and efficiently deliver trays to designated tables, supporting all sections of the restaurant as needed (Full hands in, Full hands out).
  • Assist with the setup and teardown of event spaces and parties.
  • Clear and prepare tables as necessary.
  • Offer assistance to colleagues as required by operational needs or business volume.
  • Account for all personal sales processed through the Micros system and finish all assigned station duties before and after the shift.
  • Actively engage in all promotional contests and incentive programs, contributing to sales growth and brand promotion.
  • Adhere to specified portion control standards to manage costs while maximizing Guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure continued Guest satisfaction by checking in after food delivery, consistently replenishing drinks, removing used items, pre-bussing as needed, and being highly responsive to all Guest requests.
  • Keep the assigned service station clean and organize setup and breakdown according to guidelines.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with all Team Members to promote a highly productive, harmonious, and effective work setting.
  • Utilize strong listening skills to accurately capture Guest needs and orders, and effectively communicate verbally with Guests and through the Micros system with Team Members.
  • Adhere to the mandatory dress code, maintaining a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
  • The physical demands listed below represent the requirements essential for a Team Member to successfully perform the duties of this position.
  • The role necessitates working days, nights, and/or weekends.
  • Work environment is fast-paced, noisy, and may have distracting conditions.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to move throughout the facility and remain standing for extended periods; 100% of the shift will be spent walking or standing.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping are required.
