Job Description: Breakfast Cook
The Breakfast Cook is responsible for the quality, quantity, tastiness, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products. The Cook pays special attention to speed, cleanliness, organization, and product specifications.
Food Production:
Follows the recipes and procedures outlined by Golden Corral to prepare Carving and Display Cooking products for the Hot Choice Buffet.
Meets the quality requirements of Golden Corral by grilling all items according to their specified standards.
Promises that all fried items are kept fresh and served with optimal heat.
When the Buffet Attendant is unavailable, it falls on the Cook to restock the items on the Display Cooking Station.
When the Carver is unavailable, they provide support to guests looking for different options for carved meats.
Thorough implementation and following of the buffet production system to safeguard quality and meet shelf life requirements.
Operational Excellence:
Keeps all products at the correct temperature consistently throughout cooking, holding, and serving.
Makes use of the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and the Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide to manage and track the inventory of hot cook items.
Executes the starting and ending administrative processes.
Abides by the recommendations in the Equipment Maintenance manual for the proper care of machinery.
Manages the replenishment and rotation of food supplies in adherence to the FIFO strategy.
Examines product stock and verifies it against the Manager's build-to requirements at the start and end of each work shift.
Cleanliness:
Verifies the cleanliness of the cooking area and utensils, as well as checks for cleanliness on dishes before using them.
Oversees the duty assignment list and ensures that cleanliness, service, and quality benchmarks are reached.
Observes the regulations imposed by the local health authorities.
Uphold cleanliness and sanitation by regularly scraping and cleaning the char grill to maintain product quality.
Guest Service:
Promises the continual freshness and warmth of Hot Choice Buffet choices, like Display Cooking items, to enhance the guest dining experience.
Understands and fulfills the responsibilities associated with just-in-time delivery.
Acts in a pleasant and courteous manner when attending to guests and helping them select products.
Demonstrates continuous professionalism in communication practices.
