The Food Preparer ensures that all products on the Hot Choice Buffet are of high quality, sufficient quantity, delicious, and freshly prepared. Special emphasis is given by the Food Preparer to maintain efficiency, cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to product standards within the kitchen.

Food Production:

• Prepares Hot Choice Buffet items, such as Carving and Display Cooking dishes, following the specified recipes and procedures from Golden Corral.
• Cooks all items in adherence to Golden Corral guidelines to maintain consistent quality.
• Ensures that every fried product is consistently kept fresh and served hot.
• In the event that the Buffet Attendant is not around, the Cook takes on the responsibility of refilling the items on the Display Cooking Station.
• In the event that the Carver is not accessible, they support guests with alternative carved meat choices.
• Ensuring full adherence and implementation of the buffet production system to guarantee quality and meet shelf life standards.

Operational Excellence:

• Ensures all items are kept at the appropriate temperature throughout the cooking, holding, and serving process.
• Deploys the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and the Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide to regulate the stock levels of hot cook products.
• Undertakes the start and finish of administrative protocols.
• Complies with the procedures detailed in the Equipment Maintenance manual for the maintenance of equipment.
• Manages food inventory through the FIFO method, ensuring items are replenished and rotated regularly.
• Monitors product inventory and cross-checks it with the Manager's build-to specifications at the beginning and conclusion of shifts.

Cleanliness:

• Ensures the cleanliness of the Hot Cook area and smallwares and examines dishes for any residues prior to usage.
• Manages the duty assignment and ensures that cleanliness, service, and quality criteria are met.
• Follows the protocols set forth by the local health department.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the char grill by regularly removing residue to uphold both food quality and hygiene standards.

Guest Service:

• Guarantees the continuous warmth and freshness of Hot Choice Buffet items, encompassing Display Cooking selections, to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Acknowledges and adheres to the role requirements concerning just-in-time delivery.
• Provides amicable and respectful service to guests and assists them with their product needs.
• Keeps up professional communication standards without fail.
