Role and Responsibilities of Food Service Manager:

As an Food Service Manager, you will be responsible for management of the entire restaurant's operations, working directly with the General Manager as the store's second in command. You will provide direction, training, and expertise to ensure customer expectations are exceeded while overseeing operations and developing team members. Key responsibilities include

  • - Provide instruction, support, and leadership to help staff evolve into a top-performing unit.
  • Cultivate a friendly and hospitable ambiance in the workspace and dining space to enhance the experience of guests and staff.
  • Monitor and uphold adherence to food safety guidelines to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Optimize store performance and meet profit targets through the implementation of effective operational management techniques.
  • Maintain the expected levels of quality, service, and cleanliness within the restaurant premises as per the QSC standards.
  • Ensure the protection of Wendy's brand and possessions.
  • Exhibit a relentless pursuit of results and strive to surpass customer service standards.
  • Follow and reinforce the standard operational guidelines within the company.
  • Conduct inventory counts and accurately record product levels.
  • Coordinate team members' schedules to meet staffing requirements.
  • Enforce adherence to established guidelines for the safe handling and preparation of food within the restaurant's premises.
  • Monitor and adjust food, labor, paper, and other costs that can be managed within the business.
  • Assist the restaurant management team in meeting profitability objectives.
  • Deliver exceptional solutions and choices while keeping the customer's needs at the forefront of the process.
  • Visit alternative restaurants, nearby corporate locations, financial institutions, and appointments as requested.

Required Skills and Experience of Food Service Manager:

  • A high school diploma or its comparable alternative is required, along with possession of all required paperwork as dictated by state and federal legislation.
  • Applicants are required to have a minimum of two years of experience as a Shift Supervisor or at least one year as an Assistant Manager in the restaurant field, ideally in high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurants.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing schedules, which may involve weekends and holidays.
  • - The position necessitates a valid driver's license and the availability of private transportation.
  • Shown aptitude in supervising and organizing a team amidst a fast-moving and vibrant context.
  • Familiarity with cost of goods sold is necessary for accurate financial analysis.
  • Strong skills in tackling problems and reaching conclusions.
  • Concentrating on delivering outcomes and prioritizing the needs of clients.
  • Ability to come to work promptly and as scheduled.
  • Competence in adhering to direction and fostering positive relationships with coworkers.
  • Proficiency in completing all applicable training programs.

Preferred Qualifications for Food Service Manager:

  • Experience in restaurant management within fast-food establishments with a focus on handling large numbers of customers.
  • Possessing strong technical skills with computers can be advantageous.
  • Skilled in managing financial controls and operational functions effectively.
