Job Summary of Shift Supervisor:

This position is designed for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering exceptional customer service. The role requires strong leadership skills, accountability, and the ability to inspire a team to exceed customer expectations while maintaining a fun and positive atmosphere. The individual will oversee restaurant operations during shifts and ensure smooth service delivery and team performance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Shift Supervisor:

• Serve as an ambassador of the Dairy Queen brand, ensuring professionalism in all aspects of performance.
• Welcome and engage with fans enthusiastically, creating a memorable customer experience.
• Ensure fan expectations are exceeded by providing timely, quality service.
• Assist in managing specific areas of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
• Maintain high levels of performance and resolve bottlenecks in service flow.
• Support the GM and Assistant Managers in training and coaching crew members to build a skilled team.
• Ensure the restaurant is well-organized and adequately staffed for each shift.
• Maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for fans and team members.
• Calmly resolve customer concerns in line with Dairy Queen's service recovery standards.
• Work cooperatively with management and team members to maintain a harmonious work environment.
• Model performance standards for team members and workstations.
• Exhibit a genuine passion for excellence in all duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience of Shift Supervisor:

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a high-volume quick-service restaurant.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to supervise specific areas of the restaurant in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling practices and food safety procedures.
• ServSafe certification or the ability to become certified.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Exhibit good manners, personal hygiene, and punctuality.
• Maintain a fun, positive attitude at all times.
