Role and Responsibilities of Maintenance Specialist:

The primary focus of the Maintenance Specialist position at Legacy Restaurant Group is to trouble-shoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment found in Wendy’s outlets. It is imperative for individuals in this role to possess strong organizational skills, the ability to operate independently, and a background in repairing a broad range of restaurant equipment, electrical systems, heating setups, HVAC/refrigeration units, plumbing, and painting tasks. Your technical acumen plays a vital role in preserving the operational effectiveness of our restaurants and reducing instances of equipment downtime. Fundamental duties include

• Provide maintenance and repair services for cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment by diagnosing issues accurately and performing necessary fixes.
• Maintain and fix professional cooking equipment, such as ovens, grills, deep fryers, and similar kitchen appliances.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on all kitchen appliances in order to mitigate the chances of equipment failures.
• Treat both clients and team members with respect, professionalism, and courtesy.
• Complete all service calls promptly and as they are designated.
• Complete paperwork and request parts in a precise and timely fashion.
• Be involved in the on-call rotation schedule to promptly attend to critical equipment issues.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle, including having the necessary tools and parts on hand.
• Investigate and troubleshoot electrical system malfunctions and address them appropriately.
• Assess and address plumbing issues occurring in restaurant facilities.
• Complete painting duties and attend to minor facility maintenance as necessary.
• Work autonomously to prioritize and efficiently finalize allocated duties.
• Ensure precise records are kept of the tasks executed, components utilized, and time allocated for each assignment.
• Make sure to effectively discuss equipment conditions and repair needs with restaurant management.
• Execute tasks as directed by superiors.

Required Skills and Experience of Maintenance Specialist:

• Candidates must possess a high school diploma or an equivalent certification.
• Effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications for Maintenance Specialist:

• The preferred applicants should possess over two years of hands-on experience working as an HVAC and refrigeration technician in commercial environments.
• Candidates with excellent electrical, electronic, and mechanical expertise are preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Having an active EPA Certification is the preferred qualification.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and fixing issues with various types of commercial kitchen equipment.
