Job Summary of Food Prep Associate:

An individual in the Food Prep Associate is accountable for the creation, cooking, and serving of meals that meet set standards in quality, safety, and flavor. They are responsible for abiding by recipes, managing portion sizes, and guaranteeing that food is prepared as per the specifications outlined by the company or client

Responsibilities of Food Prep Associate:

• At Five Guys, a talented cook grills each burger to perfection ensuring it is juicy and well-done, meticulously crafts sandwiches, and fries Idaho potatoes impeccably.
• Over a 3-4 week training period, individuals are expected to attain mastery in each specific position within this role.
• Each role's responsibilities intermingle with the following one, guiding a passionate cook on the importance of handling multiple tasks proficiently and working collaboratively with their team.
• As they cook and prepare meals, a dedicated chef will also be responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and organized, ensuring supplies are well-stocked, and fostering a vibrant atmosphere for guests.
• Experience in food service is considered advantageous but not mandatory for the position.
• Emphasizing teamwork and exhibiting exceptional problems solving capabilities are necessary attributes for this position.
• In a team-based work environment, the collective enthusiasm and stamina of the crew are essential factors for achieving goals and targets.
• Ability to work at a fast pace. Our kitchens have a ton of energy, on-the-line communication and job rotation. Its not for everybody.
