Job Description:

Looking for a welcoming, responsive, and dynamic Cafeteria Worker to be a part of our team. Guarantee that diners have an outstanding dining experience. Attend to Customers with a friendly, pleasant, efficient, and timely approach, being attentive to their requirements. Adhere to responsible practices for serving alcohol as outlined by Golden Corral Dining's policy and in compliance with state and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu to present our offerings to customers, keep them updated on current food promotions and specials, and respond to any questions they may have.
• Records food and drink orders on guest tickets accurately and efficiently enters them into the POS system before serving, utilizing appropriate abbreviations and charges.
• Serves food and beverages to guests promptly, involving the process of picking up orders from the kitchen and bringing them to customers within the server's area or any other specific part of the dining establishment.
• Capacity to assess guest demeanor and accurately identify instances requiring the attention of a Manager, even outside one's own designated work area.
• Observe alcohol awareness protocols to confirm age, prevent intoxication, and address intoxicated individuals while adhering to company alcohol policies.
• Confirm the correctness of financial transactions and maintain precision when providing change in coins.
• Follow correct procedures for operating credit card machines.
• Delivers correct change calculations and promptly provides the appropriate amount to the customer.
• Upholds table decorum by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter, and supplying sufficient napkins.
• Responsible for station sanitation, arranges and removes station tables appropriately.
• Engages in tasks associated with shift changes and opening or closing procedures.
• Upholds the company's safety and sanitation policies and procedures without fail.
• Supports other team members as and when dictated by the needs of the business operations.
• Upholds a positive rapport with all colleagues to develop a collaborative working climate that contributes to maintaining high morale.
• Presents an unwaveringly positive image of Golden Corral.
• Ensures work areas remain clean and that tools, equipment, and supplies are stored correctly.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in the English language for effective communication in both speech and writing
• Establishing a professional image that is neat and well-maintained is essential in any industry
• Stalwart stamina essential for extended or broken-up shifts
• Maintain a standing posture for an extended time
• Able to modify availability to suit changing work demands
• Highly Collaborative Nature
• Convey a sense of exigency and immediacy
• Able to pick up 25 lbs several times a day
• One year of experience handling currency is a plus for this position
• Desire for candidates with prior waitstaff experience
