Job Summary of Assistant Kitchen Manager:

In the position of Assistant Kitchen Manager at IHOP, your responsibility is to contribute to the restaurant's triumph by providing exceptional leadership. We are seeking candidates with a strong work ethic, a love for the hospitality industry, and the ability to oversee operations, guide staff, and ensure excellence in quality, service, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities of Assistant Kitchen Manager:

• Help in attaining the projected sales and profitability figures
• Cultivate and manage professional functional relationships with restaurant staff, Corporate and Regional team, and guests.
• Introduce the Restaurant Training Program across all non-managerial hourly restaurant employees to boost operational effectiveness and enrich the overall guest experience.
• Aid in the accomplishment of yearly financial objectives, marketing campaigns within the neighborhood, and strategies to improve guest satisfaction levels at the allocated unit.
• Ensure compliance with regulations on the federal, state, and local levels.
• Assist in bringing in, instructing, and retaining team members.
• Ensure there are ample supplies of foodstuffs, paper goods, kitchen necessities, safety materials, janitorial products, uniforms, and other assorted items.
• Ensure that equipment, building structures, and premises are in optimal working condition by following federal regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations specified by federal, state, and local authorities, as well as SOP requirements
• Support in the completion of all essential paperwork and assigned administrative obligations.

Supervisory Responsibilities of Assistant Kitchen Manager:

• Monitor and manage team members activities in the specified unit.
• Assist with the supervision, administration, and assessment of the Company unit under the General Manager's guidance.
• Perform supervisory roles adhering to the policies and laws that govern the organization.
• Responsibilities encompass the actions of interviewing, employing, and instructing team members
• Developing strategies, assigning duties, and guiding activities; evaluating performance, giving recognition, and defining performance objectives for the shift.

Qualifications of Assistant Kitchen Manager:

• To qualify, candidates must possess a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate and have accumulated two to four years of pertinent experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Anyone driving a car for Company purposes must hold a legitimate Driver's License.

Physical Demands of Assistant Kitchen Manager:

• Assume a standing posture, ambulate, and settle into a seated state.
• Engage hands in reaching, seizing, using, or sensing different objects, tools, or mechanisms.
• Lower body, lean, huddle, or prostrate oneself; speak or listen intently; and sample or detect odors.
• The Manager will regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
