Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sandwich Artist to join our team! As a Sandwich Artist, you will be the frontline ambassador for the Subway brand, engaging with guests, preparing meals, adhering to food safety standards, and completing minor administrative tasks. Providing exceptional customer care is key in this role, as building positive relationships with customers is essential.

Prerequisites:

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience & Skills: Previous experience is not required. However, the ability to understand written and verbal instructions is essential.
• Flexibility to handle diverse responsibilities within the restaurant, including operating a modern POS system or cash register.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Greet and serve customers with a positive and friendly attitude, creating a welcoming experience.
• Have a thorough knowledge of the menu and communicate it effectively to customers.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately input orders and process payments. Provide correct change as necessary.
• Perform cash reconciliation at the end of the shift, ensuring that all funds are accurately counted.
• Prepare food efficiently and according to Subway's standards, following recipes and ingredient guidelines.
• Monitor and replenish ingredients in the sandwich prep area to ensure a steady supply during the shift.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures during meal preparation, serving, and cleaning processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized restaurant, following the three-step cleaning protocol to ensure tidiness in all areas.
• Comply with Subway's quality standards, recipes, and operational procedures as outlined in the Subway Operations Manual.
• Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Subway's grooming and appearance guidelines.
• Complete any required paperwork as instructed by the manager.
• Successfully complete required training at the University of Subway.
