Job Summary:

Looking for a friendly, observant, and lively Server to join our team. Ensure Customers have an exceptional dining experience. Culinary Crew Member Guests in a warm, welcoming, efficient, and timely manner and be attentive to their needs. Practice responsible alcohol service in accordance with state and local laws and Golden Corral Dining alcohol policy.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate strong understanding of the menu to describe our selections to patrons, update them on ongoing food promotions and specials, and address any inquiries they may have.
• Writes food and beverage orders on guest tickets correctly and enters orders into the POS system promptly before serving, using relevant abbreviations and charges.
• Provides efficient service by delivering food and beverages promptly to guests, involving the task of retrieving orders from the kitchen and serving them to customers within the server's section or any other specified area of the restaurant.
• Ability to evaluate guest behavior effectively and identify when it is necessary to alert a Manager, even within the realms overseen by other team members.
• Ensure adherence to alcohol awareness procedures for verifying age, preventing intoxication, and managing intoxicated individuals in accordance with company alcohol policies.
• Validate the correctness of all financial transactions and uphold accuracy in handling coins for making change.
• Successfully process payments with credit card terminals.
• Offers timely and precise change calculations for customers and promptly returns the correct amount.
• Maintains table hygiene through pre-clearing, monitoring drink levels, decluttering, and offering an ample napkin supply.
• Keeps the station tidy, arranges and dismantles station tables correctly.
• Performs necessary tasks for shift changes and opening or closing operations.
• Adheres rigorously to the safety and sanitation policies and procedures of the company.
• Helps other team members as needed or when business requirements dictate.
• Cultivates friendly and productive relationships with all colleagues to foster a harmonious working atmosphere and support high team morale.
• Displays a consistently favorable impression of Golden Corral.
• Upholds cleanliness in work areas and ensures tools, equipment, and supplies are stored properly.
