Associate Restaurant Manager

Job Summary of Associate Restaurant Manager:

As an Associate Restaurant Manager at IHOP, your role will involve providing outstanding leadership to help the restaurant thrive. The ideal candidate will be someone motivated and enthusiastic about the hospitality industry, dedicated to overseeing day-to-day activities, leading staff members, and maintaining top-notch standards of excellence in quality, customer service, and guest happiness.

Responsibilities of Associate Restaurant Manager:

• Assist in the achievement of budgeted sales and profits
• Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with restaurant employees, Corporate and Regional employees, and guests.
• Implement the Restaurant Training Program for all restaurant hourly non-management employees to improve unit operations and the guest experience.
• Assist in the execution of annual financial, local restaurant marketing, and guest service objectives, strategies and tactics for assigned unit.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist in the recruitment, training and retention of team members.
• Ensure adequate levels of food, paper, kitchen, safety, janitorial, uniform, and miscellaneous supplies.
• Ensure the proper operational condition of equipment, building structure and premises according to federal regulations and SOP.
• Ensure safety and sanitation practices are maintained according to federal, state and local regulations and SOP
• Assist in completion of all required reports and other administrative duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities of Associate Restaurant Manager:

• Oversee team members directly within the designated unit.
• Aid the General Manager in overseeing, organizing, and assessing the Company unit's overall operations.
• Fulfill supervisory duties in compliance with the organization's regulations and relevant legislation.
• Duties consist of conducting interviews, selecting, and providing training for staff members
• Establishing plans, delegating tasks, and overseeing work; evaluating performance, providing incentives, and defining performance standards for the shift.

Qualifications of Associate Restaurant Manager:

• A high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate, along with two to four years of relevant experience and/or training, or a comparable blend of education and practical involvement is required.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Possessing a valid Driver's License is a prerequisite for operating a vehicle while conducting Company-related tasks.

Physical Demands of Associate Restaurant Manager:

• Maintain an upright position, move on foot, and take a seated position.
• Employ hands to touch, hold, manipulate, or sense various items, implements, or mechanisms.
• Bend down, lower oneself, squat, or creep; converse or listen; and savor or inhale.
• The Manager is required to frequently carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally handle items weighing up to 30 pounds.
