Assistant Team Manager

Job Summary of Assistant Team Manager:

In the capacity of Assistant Team Manager at IHOP, you will be instrumental in steering the restaurant towards prosperity through effective leadership. We are seeking individuals who are motivated and enthusiastic about hospitality, capable of managing daily operations, guiding team members, and ensuring top-tier quality, service, and guest delight.

Responsibilities of Assistant Team Manager:

• Assist in the achievement of budgeted sales and profits
• Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with restaurant employees, Corporate and Regional employees, and guests.
• Implement the Restaurant Training Program for all restaurant hourly non-management employees to improve unit operations and the guest experience.
• Assist in the execution of annual financial, local restaurant marketing, and guest service objectives, strategies and tactics for assigned unit.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist in the recruitment, training and retention of team members.
• Ensure adequate levels of food, paper, kitchen, safety, janitorial, uniform, and miscellaneous supplies.
• Ensure the proper operational condition of equipment, building structure and premises according to federal regulations and SOP.
• Ensure safety and sanitation practices are maintained according to federal, state and local regulations and SOP
• Assist in completion of all required reports and other administrative duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities of Assistant Team Manager:

• Give hands-on supervision to team members in the assigned unit.
• Assist in guiding, evaluating, and coordinating the Company unit's activities under the General Manager's direction.
• Carry out supervisory obligations according to the organization's policies and relevant laws.
• Functions involve interviewing, selecting, and educating team members
• Setting goals, distributing assignments, and supervising tasks; assessing performance, offering incentives, and defining performance expectations for the shift.

Qualifications of Assistant Team Manager:

• A high school diploma or GED and two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent mix of education and experience, are prerequisites for the role.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Driving on Company business mandates the possession of a legitimate Driver's License.

Physical Demands of Assistant Team Manager:

• Perch yourself, move by foot, and adopt a sitting position.
• Employ the hands to reach out, grab, operate, or sense objects, tools, or controls.
• Lowering oneself, hunkering down, stooping, or moving close to the ground; engaging in verbal exchange or actively hearing; and tasting or perceiving scents with the olfactory senses.
• The Manager will regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
