The Facilities Manager role supports Flynn Group’s mission by ensuring that restaurant facilities are maintained to brand standards, enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Facilities Manager, you will lead and coordinate maintenance and repair projects to uphold brand standards and operational continuity. You will manage contractor relationships, control budgets, and oversee project execution with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness.
Consult with restaurant operators to identify repair and maintenance needs for critical equipment such as HVAC, fryers, ovens, and walk-in coolers.
Manage all phases of repair and replacement projects, including solicitation, bid review, and contractor coordination.
Oversee region-wide equipment replacement initiatives and coordinate equipment reuse or reallocation.
Conduct re-image design and scope of work surveys to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Develop and manage preferred vendor programs, including evaluation of alternate vendor options.
Perform warranty inspections and approve payments within budgetary limits.
Review and negotiate change orders to protect client interests.
Maintain accurate records of projected and actual costs for analysis and reporting.
Exercise independent judgment to make sound, fact-based decisions.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of related experience and/or training in facilities management, HVAC, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or related fields.
3-5 years of experience in commercial or multi-unit facilities management.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop and follow detailed processes.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including professional email correspondence.
Ability to work independently using written and verbal instructions.
Attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel up to 50% and work irregular hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing contractor and vendor relationships in a multi-unit setting.
Familiarity with warranty inspection processes and vendor program development.
Proximity to a Tier 1 airport and flexibility to work from a field or home office.
